The police summoned the sole eyewitness in the Mir Raza case again as investigators revisited the crime scene to reconstruct the events surrounding the incident.
According to reports, the secretary of the investigation committee visited the crime scene, where SSP Ali Raza called Yaser, a nursery employee and the sole eyewitness in the case, and asked him to recount the entire incident.
The SSP recorded Yaser’s statement on his mobile phone and assured him, “Don’t be afraid or worried. Nothing will happen.” The SSP asked the nursery employee when he first saw the body. Yaser provided the time when he discovered it.
He was then asked where the body was lying, how many flower pots were present at the site, how many bushes were there at the time, what he was doing and how he noticed the body while watering the plants.
Yaser again recounted the entire incident in detail, according to the report. The SSP also inspected the route Mir Raza had taken before reaching the nursery and examined the point from where he had turned towards the nursery.
He further directed the investigation team to record the statements of the nursery owner and all employees again.
The process of recording their statements has since begun, according to sources.
