Law enforcement authorities seized automatic weapons, hand grenades, improvised explosive devices (IEDs), and jail maps, from the terrorists.
The CPO Rawalpindi Syed Khalid Hamdani informed that a search operation was conducted this morning in the premises of the jail, housing prisoners at twice its capacity.
The top PTI leadership, including party founder Imran Khan, vice-chairman Shah Mahmood Qureshi and President Pervaiz Elahi are currently incarcerated in the Rawalpindi jail.
However, no further details regarding the operation were provided by the law enforcers.
