Investigators probing the death of Mir Raza are focusing on a crucial 200-metre stretch described as a “grey area” in the investigation, with authorities yet to establish what happened between the last available CCTV footage of the deceased and the discovery of his body.

The investigation team is examining whether the location where Mir Raza’s body was found was the primary crime scene, or whether he was killed elsewhere before his body was brought to and abandoned at the location.

Investigators are particularly trying to reconstruct the events that occurred after Mir Raza was last seen on CCTV and before his body was discovered. They are also examining the possibility that he may have suffered an incident at the same location or been taken elsewhere and subsequently killed.

A major challenge for investigators is the discrepancy between the first and second post-mortem reports regarding the estimated time of death. The first examination reportedly placed the time of death approximately 24 to 36 hours before the body was recovered, while the second estimated it at around 20 to 22 hours earlier.

Mir Raza’s body was found at around noon. Based on the timing mentioned in the second post-mortem report, his death could have occurred at approximately 10 a.m. the previous day, leaving investigators with several unanswered questions about his whereabouts during the intervening hours.

Authorities are particularly examining the period between approximately 5 a.m. and 10 a.m., seeking to determine where Mir Raza was during those five hours and what happened to him.

Investigators are also exploring whether Mir Raza was abducted and taken to another location before being killed and whether his body was subsequently dumped at the place where it was recovered. The exact time at which the body may have been moved is also being investigated.

Another complication is that the post-mortem examinations have reportedly not conclusively established the cause of death.

Investigators are still seeking to determine whether Mir Raza died as a result of physical assault, a gunshot wound or another cause.

Officials said CCTV footage covering the critical 200-metre stretch has not yet been obtained.

Meanwhile, Mir Raza’s mobile phone remains locked, and authorities have contacted the relevant company for assistance in accessing the device and retrieving its data.

Investigators are also awaiting mobile phone data, while information obtained through geofencing is being analysed to reconstruct Mir Raza’s movements and identify possible locations or individuals linked to the case.

The investigation is continuing as authorities attempt to resolve the discrepancies in the forensic evidence and establish a clear timeline of Mir Raza’s final hours.
