Karachi roads leading to Teen Talwar closed amid protest, traffic diverted

Several key roads around Teen Talwar in Clifton have been closed to traffic due to a protest and sit-in, Karachi traffic police said on Monday.

According to a traffic, the roads will remain closed until the peaceful conclusion of the protest.

The following routes have been closed:

Metropole to 3 Talwar via Clifton Bridge
KPT Underpass to 3 Talwar
Boat Basin to 3 Talwar
Race Course Signal to 3 Talwar
Bath Island to 3 Talwar

Traffic police have advised motorists to use alternative routes to reach their destinations.
Traffic coming from the airport towards the city can turn left towards CSD or JPMC and proceed towards their destinations.

Traffic from Boat Basin will be diverted towards Punjab Colony, while vehicles coming from 2 Talwar will be diverted towards Zamzama Street.

Traffic coming from Abdullah Haroon Road and Avari Signal will be diverted towards Fatima Jinnah Road and Cantt Station before proceeding towards Chaudhry Khaliq-uz-Zaman Road.

Traffic travelling from Chaudhry Khaliq-uz-Zaman Road towards Ziauddin Road will not be allowed to turn towards 3 Talwar.

The traffic police urged citizens to avoid unnecessary travel towards the closed routes and cooperate with traffic police and law enforcement personnel. The advisory said the traffic plan could be changed according to the situation at the protest site.
