BANNU, August 16: Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sohail Afridi, arrived at Bannu on a one-day visit for the street movement.
While addressing the workers, CM Sohail Afridi said the preparations for the September 27 march should be carried out in the best possible way.
“We will change the fate and history of our country and nation,” he said.
According to him, there was peace in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa up to 2022 but after that was a known situation to everyone. He blamed the current government and those who brought it into power for the demolition of the peace in the province.
“The people of KP have been considered insignificant for the past two decades.” he continued.
Chief Minister KP stated that thousands of lives were sacrificed for the peace in the province. “Decisions were taken in private meetings that demolished the peace in KP. We will oppose every decision that is against the province and people.”
According to him, the KP police force is ready to stand firm for restoring the peace and security of the people. He also said that the government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was supporting fully the police force.
“We are spending billions of rupees in the development of police infrastructure, modern equipment, and training.” He added, “Peace is necessary for development and prosperity. We will go to every extent for the restoration of peace,” he concluded.
Sohail Afridi further said that the PTI leader Imran Khan is imprisoned wrongly for the sake of the future of the nation. He said that they would take to the streets for the release of their leader and that he himself would lead the march.
