Father of three daughters commits suicide in Karachi’s Lyari

A man, who was the father of three young girls, was found dead in Karachi’s Lyari area on Monday in an apparent suicide, police said.

According to media reports, the incident took place in Kalakot Bagh Line, which falls within the jurisdiction of Kalakot police station. The man was found hanging inside his home. His body was shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi by an Edhi ambulance at around 8:35am.

Police officials at the hospital said that the deceased was identified as Mohammad Younis, son of Abdul Ghafoor. A police official said that area police had reached the scene and launched an investigation.

Initial findings suggest that Mohammad Younis was employed at a private company and was the father of three daughters.

Police said his wife had travelled for Umrah along with one of their daughters, while the other two daughters were present at home at the time of the incident.

According to police, the deceased was reportedly under mental stress. Further investigation into the matter is under way.
