Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has called for Palestinians to be granted their rights in accordance with United Nations resolutions, stressing that violations of the Gaza ceasefire must end to ensure lasting peace.

Addressing the Gaza Board of Peace meeting, the Prime Minister said that achieving durable peace in Gaza remains a shared mission.

He praised the role of Donald Trump in resolving conflicts, stating that President Trump’s timely intervention had helped avert a war between Pakistan and India.

He claimed that the ceasefire had saved millions of precious lives and described President Trump as a champion of peace.

The Prime Minister emphasised that the Palestinian people must be granted full rights over their homeland, adding that the establishment of a free and sovereign Palestinian state is essential for sustainable peace.

He reiterated that Palestinians should receive their due rights in line with United Nations resolutions.

He further remarked that the day marked a significant chapter in the pursuit of peace in the Middle East and stressed that violations of the Gaza ceasefire must cease if enduring stability is to be achieved.

Establishing peace in Gaza, he added, would stand as a major achievement and legacy.
