The federal government launched the "six canals" project under the Pakistan Green Initiative to turn uncultivated land into farmland and promote corporate farming.
These projects are meant to boost agriculture across Punjab, Balochistan, KP, and even parts of Sindh, but many in Sindh believe they come at a heavy cost.
