Babar Azam, captain of Peshawar Zalmi, reached a major milestone in T20 cricket after scoring an unbeaten half-century against Quetta Gladiators in the 23rd match of Pakistan Super League (PSL 11) at National Bank Stadium.

Babar remained unbeaten on 71 off 51 balls, guiding Zalmi to an eight-wicket victory. The innings marked his 100th half-century in T20 cricket.

With this achievement, Babar became the fourth player in the format’s history to reach 100 T20 fifties, joining David Warner, Virat Kohli and Jos Buttler.

Warner leads the list with 116 half-centuries, followed by Kohli with 107, while Babar and Buttler both have 100.

Babar’s innings was also his 110th score of 50 or more in men’s T20 cricket, equalling the record of Chris Gayle. However, Babar achieved the feat in 341 innings, significantly fewer than Gayle’s 455.

Warner also tops the list for most 50-plus scores in T20s, followed by Kohli, while Babar and Gayle share third place. Buttler ranks next on the list.
