In Islamabad, the sisters of PTI founder Imran Khan were once again denied permission to meet him at Adiala Jail on Tuesday, despite an Islamabad High Court order allowing him family and legal visits twice a week.

PTI leaders and supporters also gathered outside the prison but were not granted access.

Party representatives said the jail administration has repeatedly blocked meetings, even though lists of approved visitors were submitted in advance. Imran’s sister Aleema Khan said the restrictions initially applied to party leaders and were later extended to family members as well.

PTI officials, including Salman Akram Raja and Sheikh Waqas Akram, criticised the authorities for failing to comply with court directives and accused the jail administration of misrepresenting facts regarding power of attorney documents linked to Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi in the Al-Qadir Trust case.

Imran Khan, jailed since August 2023, is serving a 14-year sentence in the £190 million corruption case. The PTI has also raised concerns about his medical treatment and access to personal doctors, while the government maintains that he is receiving appropriate care and denies allegations of mistreatment.
