The investigation into the killing of young businessman Mir Raza is continuing from various angles, with authorities closely examining the post-mortem findings, CCTV footage, business connections and claims made by the victim’s family.

According to investigative sources, authorities are considering obtaining and releasing CCTV footage showing Mir Raza’s final moments. DIG Aamir Farooqi had indicated the possibility of releasing the footage; however, the video has so far not been made available to the public or the victim’s family.

Sources said that investigators have also questioned Medico-Legal Officer (MLO) Dr Usama Sheikh, who conducted Mir Raza’s initial post-mortem examination. His mobile phone has reportedly been taken into custody for forensic analysis.

The investigation team also sought assistance from Police Surgeon Dr Samia Syed regarding the post-mortem reports. According to sources, she explained the medical terminology used in the report and answered various questions raised by the investigating officers.

Meanwhile, the victim’s family has questioned why the CCTV footage of Mir Raza’s final moments is not being shared with them if it is already in police possession.

According to investigative sources, Mir Raza’s business partner may also be questioned as part of the investigation so that all aspects of the case can be thoroughly examined.

Meanwhile, the victim’s sister claimed in a video statement that police security provided to the family was suddenly withdrawn. She said that a police officer had initially been deployed following a request, but the security was later discontinued without informing the family.

She further claimed that the family’s vehicle was followed by suspicious vehicles.

According to her, two vehicles were following their father’s car on one occasion, prompting the family to change their route as a precaution. The family said a police vehicle arrived at the scene after being alerted.

Police say the investigation is continuing in light of the family’s claims, post-mortem reports, CCTV footage, possible business connections and other available evidence.

Authorities said that only after the investigation is completed will a clear picture emerge regarding the facts of the incident and those responsible.
