Pakistan’s security forces launched a new wave of retaliatory strikes under Operation Ghazab Lil Haq.
The strikes from Pakistan were launched after unprovoked aggression by Afghan Taliban fighters and militants along the Pak-Afghan border.
According to reports, Pakistani forces executed targeted operations in the Chaman sector. The operations successfully destroyed several Afghan Taliban posts and military vehicles. As a result, the taliban fighters and affiliated militants retreated from their positions.
Security officials claim that Operation Ghazab Lil Haq will continue until all designated objectives are achieved.
Moreover, Pakistani forces reportedly targeted the Ariana Complex, Dabgai check post, police headquarters, and Zakarkhel post.
Air strikes were also carried out in Afghanistan’s Laghman province, including an arms depot, battalion headquarters, and militant positions were destroyed.
The clashes intensified after Afghan shelling in KP’s Bajaur district earlier this month. The shelling killed three civilians, including two children, and injured several others.
The ongoing conflict, however, has strained diplomatic ties and disrupted border trade. It has also raised concerns of a wider regional instability.
