Light rain likely in Karachi as moist winds influence weather

Karachi experienced partly cloudy weather on Thursday as sunshine and cloud cover alternated throughout the day, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD).

The Met Office said the city is expected to remain hot and humid, with a possibility of light drizzle during the night and early morning hours. Officials noted that moist southwesterly winds are influencing the prevailing weather conditions in the coastal city.

The minimum temperature recorded in Karachi was 29.5°C, while the current temperature stood at around 31°C. Humidity levels were reported at 72 percent, contributing to overall uncomfortable conditions for residents.

Meteorological officials said winds are blowing from the southwest at a speed of around 15 kilometres per hour. The maximum temperature during the day is expected to range between 34°C and 36°C.
