The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast that hot and humid weather will persist in Karachi over the coming days, although temperatures are expected to remain below 40°C.

According to the latest advisory issued by the PMD, the city is likely to experience “hot and humid” conditions on Tuesday, with maximum temperatures ranging between 37°C and 39°C. Similar weather patterns are expected to continue on Wednesday and Thursday, with temperatures forecast between 36–38°C and 35–37°C, respectively.

The department also noted that “hot to very hot and dry” weather is likely to prevail across most parts of Sindh during this period.

The forecast follows an intense heatwave that gripped the metropolis a day earlier, when temperatures soared to 44.1°C — the highest recorded in the city since 2018. The extreme conditions, coupled with strong continental winds, reportedly resulted in at least 10 fatalities.
