The preliminary medical report of young Karachi businessman Mir Raza Ali has been released, according to media reports.

According to the medical report, Mir Raza was shot from behind, while signs of physical assault were also found on his body.

The report also states that answers to all 14 points raised by the police surgeon have been received.

Meanwhile, Mir Raza’s father, Mir Hussain, said that an audio recording allegedly involving him has also surfaced. Referring to an audio recording attributed to his son that emerged a day earlier, he said, “That is neither my son’s voice nor mine.”

He questioned what the audio calls had to do with the case.

Mir Hussain said that when the initial post-mortem was conducted, a bullet casing was recovered, and now audio recordings are surfacing during the exhumation of Mir Raza’s body. “I do not understand who is doing this and why,” he said.

It may be recalled that members of the medical board, Mir Raza’s family members, and his lawyer Jibran Nasir were present at Society Cemetery during the exhumation.

The police surgeon, head of the identification project, and a magistrate were also present at the cemetery, where strict security arrangements were in place.

Mir Raza’s father said he was satisfied with the exhumation process. He expressed hope that the issues that occurred during the previous post-mortem would not be repeated this time, adding that the family would accept whatever findings are included in the report.
