Medical board overseeing Mir Raza's exhumation restructured, now comprising five members instead of eight

Changes have been made to the medical board constituted for the exhumation of young Karachi businessman Mir Ali Raza's grave.

A fresh notification has been issued for the medical board overseeing Mir Raza's exhumation. The original eight-member board has been replaced with a five-member panel. With the exception of Dr. Samia Syed, all members of the previous board have been changed.

According to the notification, Professor Dr. Zakiuddin, Head of the Department of Forensic Medicine at Dow University, has been included in the board.

Dr. Qazi Akbar, a professor at Liaquat University, Jamshoro, has also been appointed to the panel. In addition, Dr. Abid Hussain Chang has been included as the board's pathologist.

The notification states that Karachi Police Surgeon Dr. Samia Syed will serve as the convener of the board, while Hyderabad Police Surgeon Dr. Waseem has also been appointed as a member.

Mir Raza Ali's parents have rejected any changes to the medical board headed by Dr. Samia Syed that was formed to oversee the exhumation and conduct a second post-mortem.

It is worth noting that, following court orders, a second post-mortem of young Karachi businessman Mir Raza is scheduled to be conducted today after the exhumation of his body.

Meanwhile, Geo News has obtained important photographs related to the Mir Raza Ali case.

The images reportedly show a bullet hole in Mir Raza's shirt, with threads protruding from the fabric. According to the initial post-mortem report, the bullet entered through the chest and exited through the back. The photographs also appear to show injury-like marks on his feet and visible marks resembling signs of physical assault on the right side of his ribs.
