SHO among 11 cops land in trouble for mistakenly raiding Attorney General's Lahore residence

A case has been registered against the Station House Officer (SHO) and 10 other police personnel for allegedly conducting a raid at the residence of Attorney General for Pakistan Mansoor Awan in Lahore, according to a media report.

The attorney general's driver said that only household staff were present when the police team entered the house. He alleged that police officials damaged flower pots placed outside the residence and took away the CCTV camera system while leaving.

The driver said that after being informed, the attorney general returned home following a meeting, after which police allegedly deleted CCTV footage and returned the digital video recorder (DVR).

Police officials said a team led by Sarwar Road SHO entered Mansoor Awan's residence by jumping over the gate at around 6pm on July 27 and allegedly harassed the staff present there.

According to police, they had received information about the presence of suspected criminals at the neighbouring house but mistakenly entered the attorney general's residence.
