Key guesthouse documents surface in Mir Raza murder probe

Significant progress has been reported in the investigation into Karachi’s high-profile Mir Raza murder case, with police obtaining important documents related to the ownership of a guesthouse.

A tenancy agreement submitted during police verification has also surfaced.

The documents, obtained by Aaj News, concern the ownership and tenancy of the guesthouse in Gulistan-e-Johar linked to the Mir Raza murder investigation. The documents include the tenancy agreement submitted as part of the police verification process.

According to the documents, a man named Liaquat had rented the property for use as a guesthouse. The property, located at C-349, is owned by Tahira Sultana. The agreement between the property owner and the person operating the guesthouse is also available in the police software system known as “TRAX.”

According to the tenancy agreement included in the police verification record, the property was rented specifically for use as a guesthouse. The agreement also lists two witnesses, identified as Jam Ali and Asim.

Police sources said that under the law, every tenant is required to register with the relevant police station. The tenancy agreement for the property in question was also included in the police verification record.

The documents relating to the guesthouse are considered significant to the Mir Raza murder investigation, as investigators are collecting information about the individuals present at the guesthouse before and at the time of the incident, their movements, and how the property was being used.

Meanwhile, allegations surfaced on social media a day earlier claiming that the Gulistan-e-Johar guesthouse was owned by Sindh Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon, where Mir Raza Ali was allegedly subjected to torture and killed.
