ISLAMABAD: Minister for Religious Affairs Sardar Muhammad Yousaf has announced the commencement of payments for the first installment of Hajj dues for Hajj 2027, following the launch of the online application process.

Addressing a press conference on Tuesday, the minister said more than 400,000 people had already completed their registration from home under the new digital system.

He described the development as a historic milestone in the digitalization of Hajj arrangements in Pakistan, saying the new system would make the process more convenient and accessible for intending pilgrims.

According to the minister, registered pilgrims can now complete their Hajj applications and pay the first installment of their dues from home through digital channels.

The initiative is aimed at reducing the need for physical visits to government offices and streamlining the overall Hajj application and payment process through digital services.
