The Chehlum of Imam Hussain (RA) and the martyrs of Karbala is being observed across Pakistan today.

Authorities have deployed additional law enforcement personnel and implemented comprehensive traffic management plans to ensure the peaceful conduct of the observances.

In Karachi, the city's central Chehlum procession commenced from Nishtar Park and will conclude at Hussainia Iranian Imambargah in Kharadar after following its traditional route.

To facilitate security arrangements, M.A. Jinnah Road has been closed to traffic from Guru Mandir to Tower, while containers and barricades have been placed along connecting roads.

According to Karachi Traffic Police, motorists travelling from Nazimabad have been diverted via Lasbela Chowk towards Garden, while traffic from Shahrah-e-Faisal is being redirected through alternate routes.

Only vehicles displaying authorized security stickers are being permitted to enter the procession route. Commuters have been advised to avoid unnecessary travel and use alternative roads to minimize disruption.

Provincial administrations have directed all relevant departments to remain on high alert, with emergency and rescue services placed on standby to respond to any situation.
