A sessions court in Lahore has extended the interim bail of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) lawmaker Saqib Chadhar until July 2 in a case related to the alleged harassment of actress Momina Iqbal.
Additional Sessions Judge Nusrat Ali Siddiqui heard the plea seeking extension of interim bail in the case.
During the hearing, the court was informed that the investigation has not yet been completed. Expressing displeasure over the delay, the judge adjourned the proceedings till July 2 and directed the prosecution to present the complete case record at the next hearing.
The court also extended the interim bail of the provincial lawmaker until the next date of hearing.
The case was registered by the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) against the PML-N MPA on allegations of harassing the actress. The accused had approached the court to seek protection from arrest.
