Barrister Salman Safdar said, “You are appearing before us in court for the first time; do not let us leave empty-handed.” Justice Khadim Hussain Soomro said, “Both your applications have been accepted; you will not leave empty-handed.”

Speaking in the parliamentary motion led by Baroness Alexander of Cleveden, Goldsmith, said that while the case is “an internal matter for Pakistan,” the alleged denial of basic rights for Khan could not be overlooked.

The injection was administered in a fully equipped operating theatre under standard monitoring, precautionary measures and microscopy guidance by consultant ophthalmologists and a vitreoretinal surgeon from PIMS and Al-Shifa Eye Hospital.

Speaking to media, Chaudhry confirmed Khan would be shifted from jail specifically for the procedure, noting he had already received one injection on January 25 and still required two more doses.

Judge Abdul Ghafoor Kakar conducted the hearing, with Special Prosecutor Wasiq Malik representing the prosecution.

According to reports, the minister said there was “neither any deal nor any leniency,” stressing that claims of offering concessions to Imran Khan had no basis.

Speaking at an event, Tarar said a specialist medical assessment conducted on court orders has found that one of Khan’s eyes has perfect 6/6 vision, while the other has about 70% vision with corrective glasses.

“We will not compromise on Imran’s health,” he said, adding that the government was testing the stamina of the party.

The plea requests that the court suspend his sentence and grant bail on both legal merit and humanitarian grounds.

Speaking at the passing-out ceremony of the Islamabad Police on Friday, Federal Minister for Interior Mohsin Naqvi said that once the Islamabad jail is completed, Imran Khan will be shifted there.
