Speaking at the passing-out ceremony of the Islamabad Police on Friday, Federal Minister for Interior Mohsin Naqvi said that once the Islamabad jail is completed, Imran Khan will be shifted there.

The sit-in began after Friday prayers and is still ongoing. People participating in the sit-in are demanding that PTI founder Imran Khan be shifted to Shifa International Hospital.

It was reported that Khan complained of blurred vision for months and alleges prison officials ignored his requests for treatment. However, authorities denied this allegation, claiming that he was given due medical attention whenever needed.

In addition, a prisoner van and an armored vehicle have been stationed outside Parliament House.

Furthermore, he urged the government and relevant institutions to allow Khan’s relatives to meet him.

Safdar stated further," I requested them not to discuss anything related to the report," Safdar said. "I did not tell them anything, and they respected my opinion."

Upon hearing from both sides, the court decided against granting access to Mr. Khan’s own doctors inside the jail.

The statement noted that PTI lawmakers had gathered outside the Supreme Court on 30 January.

Defence attorney Faisal Mahmood Malik submitted the applications, claiming that both had a constitutional and legal right to medical care by their personal physicians under the supervision of Dr. Asim Yousaf.

Raja, who met CJ Yahya Afridi and other court officials, claimed the assurance that Khan’s medical reports would be shared with his family was a step forward but not fully satisfactory.

It (the procedure) was completed smoothly in approximately 20 minutes. During the treatment, the patient remained vitally stable and was discharged with routine post-procedure care instructions and follow-up advice and documents,” Sikander explained.

“At the hospital, the treatment plan, including the administration of an anti-VEGF intra-vitreal injection, was explained in detail to the patient,” the statement said, adding that the patient gave consent for the procedure.

Salman Akram Raja stated that Imran Khan’s personal physician, Dr Asim, and eye specialist Dr Khurram visited the jail a day earlier.

The party has been concerned in recent days about Imran's health, claiming that the jail administration and the government were hindering the treatment of his “serious eye condition” and demanding immediate attention to it.

According to a statement issued by PTI on X in the small hours of Thursday, police action led to multiple arrests and injuries.
