Local Afghan media reported that the air strikes began at around 1:50 a.m. in Kabul, where several blasts were heard in districts including Makrorayan, Qasaba and Darul Aman.

However, the eyewitnesses claimed that the journalists were using a drone to film humanitarian aid distribution by the ERC when a strike hit them.

Witnesses claimed that the ground shook with loud explosions and the residents ran out of their houses, into the streets.
